This report operates as an evidence base to support local policy officers justifying shifts in policy practice to better reflect local priorities.

We underscore the crucial role of policy translation (the process by which national and international policy goals are adapted to local contexts) in delivering climate policy localisation in London. We highlight best practices in policy translation and present two pathways for improved practice. Pathway A focuses on building the necessary apparatus and competencies to deliver policy translation, while Pathway B aims to leverage and expand existing structures to drive more ambitious policy outcomes.
